20k viewers in just 3 months for St Austell Webcam
A webcam designed to promote the beauty of St Austell across the world has been well-received, racking up thousands of viewers in just three months.
St Austell Conference Centre, which is part of St Austell Printing Company launched the webcam in March 2018 at their landmark premises at Carclaze. It has now racked up 20,000 unique viewers.
Beth Mayman, Operations Manager said: “So many people comment on how stunning the views are from our conferencing and event suites. Because we’re up high, on a clear day it’s possible to see Brown Willy and Bodmin Moor to the east and the satellite dishes of Goonhilly to the west.”
“It’s a privilege to work in an environment where we have such amazing views every day. We always talk about how proud we are of St Austell. Sometimes it feels like the beauty of the bay gets overlooked.”
Matt Bunt, Marketing and Communications Manager said: “We’ve had lots of people commenting on how much they enjoy watching life in across the town and bay, and we’re glad that we’re able to help promote the beauty of our home to people across the World.
“The weather has played a big part in the viewing figures, with a real surge in people viewing the webcam during the current warm weather. We’ve also recorded a number of German visitors too, no doubt off-the-back of their popular Rosamunde Pilcher TV shows.”
St Austell Conference Centre offers five conference and meeting rooms. Part of St Austell Printing Company, it sits alongside the purpose-built sustainable factory and business park which boasts tenants including Coodes Solicitors and Aspire and Peninsula Learning Trusts.
